Coaches
The Sherwood Sharks are led by an outstanding staff of adult and teen coaches. We strive to get the most out of our swimmers in the pool while having more fun as a Sherwood family than any other team out there!
Derek is a Chattanooga native where he grew up swimming and diving summers for the Stuart Heights Sharks in the Chattanooga Area Swim League. In addition to summer league, Derek swam for club teams and Notre Dame High School as a youth, and he and his wife now swim for the Madison Titans US Masters team in the Huntsville area. During Sherwood's off-season, Derek serves as the head coach for St. John Paul II Catholic High School, and Lindsay Lane Christian Academy; and he is an assistant coach for the Madison Swimming Association. His three children are Sherwood Shark swimmers and divers!
